"What we really don't accept is France's politicized reluctance to recognize one of the most effective vaccines, Sputnik V, which has already been approved in 67 countries," the Facebook post said.

The diplomatic mission also noted that they were surprised and indignant at the statement by the leader of the political group of the ruling Republic on the March party in the National Assembly (lower house of parliament) Christophe Castaner about the alleged involvement of third countries, including Russia, in the anti-vaccine movement in social networks. 

The diplomats stressed that they fundamentally advocate the maximum coverage of the world's population with vaccines against COVID-19.

Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said that the French Foreign Ministry took a discriminatory position in relation to Russian and Chinese vaccines against coronavirus.
