Just over a year after the high-profile fatal accident at Färjestaden on Öland, the investigation is now complete.

Prosecutor Kjell Jannesson tells SVT that he has received the preliminary investigation from the police and that the defense has been notified.

- I have announced that I will prosecute, it is unclear exactly when due to the fact that it is still holiday time.

But I will try to bring charges this week, he tells SVT.

Family was hit

It was on July 22 last year that a family of four was hit by a motorist in a summer cottage area.

A 15-year-old boy and a 45-year-old woman died in the accident.

A man in the age of 55 is suspected of grossly causing another person's death, gross negligence in traffic, grossly causing bodily injury and causing danger to another.

The prosecution has been delayed on several occasions, partly because the defense believes that the suspect may have suffered from a medical condition that caused the accident.
