Stiftung Warentest has examined FFP2 masks for the second time and has found that the filter effect of all masks - 20 have since been tested - is high. However, there are also masks among the masks that can severely impair breathing, and not every model fits optimally, which is why the testers only found four out of 20 masks to be completely recommendable. These are: the 3M Aua 9320+ from the pre-test and, newly tested, the models from Lindenpartner, Moldex and Uvex. All four models provide excellent protection against aerosols, offer enough breathing comfort, convince with their fit and tightness and are inconspicuous in the pollutant test. The masks come from suppliers who specialize in work and respiratory protection masks. Good quality is available for 67 cents a piece (Uvex), but also significantly more expensive: for 2.74 euros (3M mask).

The testers found low breathing comfort in seven masks, including those from Kingfa, Leikang and Taidakang.

They consider another seven to be of limited suitability due to the fit.

A well-fitting mask will inflate as you exhale and contract as you inhale.
