The Covid-19 worries again in the Bas-Rhin.

As everywhere in France, the number of contaminations has started to rise again and the virus is once again circulating strongly.

An index proves it: the incidence rate.

According to figures communicated by the prefect of the department, 148 inhabitants out of 100,000 inhabitants would now be positive for the coronavirus and even 218 in the Strasbourg metropolitan area.

Faced with this situation, the representative of the State Josiane Chevalier has decided on new measures, which will all be applicable from this Tuesday, July 27.

The first concerns the mask.

It will now be compulsory in establishments open to the public (ERP) which are already subject to the health pass.

Its port in these places is in addition to all the situations already known (markets, gatherings, public transport etc.)

The second measure concerns alcohol in public spaces.

“The sale and consumption of alcoholic drinks on public roads are prohibited in Strasbourg with the exception of the Rohrschollen nature reserve, the Robertsau forest, the Neuhof forest, the entire Rhine port area ( outside the Deux-Rives garden), ”wrote the prefecture in a press release.
