A man of Spanish nationality was found dead on Sunday night in the Bois de Boulogne park in Paris, according to police sources confirmed to the Efe agency.

The magazine Le Point, which advanced the news, specifies that the body of the man, born in 1975, was found with its throat slit at around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday near the Porte de la Muette metro, in the west of Paris.

The Prosecutor's Office has specified that it has opened an investigation for voluntary homicide and that the investigations have been entrusted to the criminal brigade.

Police sources have confirmed the nationality of the victim without specifying further details.

The Spanish embassy has not been able to confirm nationality for now.
