Jeju-do Governor Won Hee-ryong (57), who belongs to the People's Power, officially declared a challenge for the presidency today (25th).



Governor Won said at a cafe in Yeouido, "I am declaring my candidacy for the 20th presidential election to create a country with a different class and a different dimension."



He also presented the vision of the country he dreams of as "a country where the happiness of each citizen is precious, a country where the next generation can live better, and a country where people, nature, and civilization coexist".



In particular, Governor Won said, "I will bring back everything under the Moon Jae-in administration. I will firmly establish the process that has been destroyed. I will vigorously open up the blocked road to innovation."



Governor Won said, "I will clearly distinguish between what the country should do and what it shouldn't." After enumerating the destruction of the rule of law, income-led growth, 3 rental laws, nuclear phase-out, and a 52-hour workweek, he said, "The economy and jobs, house prices, energy, "I will undo all the failed policies that have ruined the Republic of Korea," he said.



He also pledged, "I will sow opportunities through 'national chance', not blood tax. "I will provide bold national opportunities in childcare, education, unemployment, poverty, entrepreneurship and youth fields."



Governor Won insisted that "there is a lot of anger from the public to judge this regime," but "a proper judgment should be acceptable to everyone. Liquidation by people related to Presidents Park Geun-hye and Moon Jae-in is considered retaliation."



Former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol,It is interpreted as having in mind those who were directly involved in the impeachment and punishment of former President Park, including former lawmaker Yoo Seung-min, or who worked in the Moon Jae-in administration.



While declaring a challenge to the presidency, Governor Won announced a 'bold recovery project worth 100 trillion won' as the first promise.



As soon as he is elected president, he will activate the 'emergency fiscal and economic order' according to the constitution to secure a budget of 100 trillion won and to provide concentrated support to small business owners and self-employed people who have been pushed to the brink of the corona crisis.



In addition, he said, "I will provide 50 trillion won in full support to small business owners and self-employed people who have suffered losses from Corona in the first year of inauguration. I will put it in,” he said.



Governor Won appealed for support, saying, "Please join us in preventing a failed regime from extending to a more frightening power." He said, "We need a president who can overcome the regime change and move forward into the future."
