At least ten people were killed and dozens more injured on Sunday when a bus left the road in eastern Croatia, police said.
The passengers were traveling on a regular line connecting the German city of Frankfurt to the capital of Kosovo, Pristina, a police official told reporters.
All were Kosovars working in Germany and returning home for the holidays, Kosovar Ambassador to Zagreb Gezim Kasapolli told reporters.
Officials said 69 people were on board the bus, including two drivers.
One of them died in the accident and the second was arrested on suspicion of having caused the exit from the road, a member of the prosecution told reporters.
The suspect said he briefly dozed off, prosecutor Slavko Pranjic added.
Eight seriously injured
Fifteen young people under the age of 18 were among the passengers, including a girl who suffered serious injuries, officials said.
A total of 45 people, including eight seriously injured, were hospitalized in Slavonski Brod, a Croatian town close to where the tragedy occurred, the hospital where they were admitted was said.
