An agreement reached between the Syrian forces and the opposition factions in Daraa

The Syrian government forces and the Daraa Central Committees reached an agreement to lift the siege and end the military operation against the city of Daraa Al-Balad today, Saturday.

A source in the central committees revealed to the German News Agency (dpa) an agreement between the central committees and officers of the Syrian army to stop the military campaign, end the siege and open roads between Daraa al-Balad and the governorate center within the next 3 days, starting from tomorrow, Sunday, in exchange for handing over a limited number. of individual weapons, and the establishment of three military points inside the neighborhoods of Daraa al-Balad, the location of which has not been determined so far.

The agreement also included “a new settlement for about 100 young men in Daraa al-Balad, and a settlement for people who did not carry out the settlement process in July 2018, and it was agreed to control the local committees of the security branches inside the security square, and to apply the law against any abuser from any party, in addition to withdrawing Uncontrolled arms from local committees and auxiliary forces.”
