China News Service, July 25. According to foreign media reports, the Afghan government has imposed curfews in 31 of the country’s 34 provinces on the 24th, hoping to curb the Taliban’s offensive in recent months.

According to reports, the Afghan Ministry of Interior said that in addition to the three provinces of Kabul, Panjshir and Nangarhar, the capital, 31 provinces across the country will implement curfews.

The deputy spokesperson of the Afghan Interior Minister said that the curfew will last from 22:00 local time every night to 4 a.m. the next day.

With the accelerated withdrawal of US troops, the fighting between the Taliban and the Afghan government has become increasingly fierce, and the security situation in Afghanistan has continued to deteriorate.

Since the beginning of May, the Taliban have launched attacks across Afghanistan. Many border crossings and dozens of areas have been occupied, and many provincial capitals have been under siege.

Half of the about 400 areas in Afghanistan are controlled by the Taliban.

The Afghan Congressmen warned on July 23 that in the face of the Taliban offensive, the Afghan Air Force is about to run out of force and hope that the United States can finalize assistance before it withdraws.

The U.S. military began to withdraw from Afghanistan on May 1.

On July 8, local time, Biden stated that the US military mission in Afghanistan that had lasted for nearly 20 years would officially end on August 31 ahead of schedule.

U.S. Department of Defense spokesman Kirby mentioned on July 22 that the U.S. withdrawal mission has been 95% completed.
