It was around 1 pm that a residential building started burning in central Hammerdal.
Rescue services went on the alarm and have managed to confine the fire to part of the property.
- The fire was concentrated in the living area, kitchen and hall.
Other parts of the property have coped relatively well with some smoke damage, says Mats Kronsten, internal officer at the rescue service in Jämtland.
No injuries
No person should have been injured.
Why the fire occurred is not clear.
- There was no person in the property when we arrived at the place.
We are still left with a strength and will start phasing out the effort slowly but surely, says Mats Kronsten.
After a police interrogation, a report of fire without suspicion of crime has been made.
