The attack is said to have taken place in the area where Turkey carried out an operation called the Euphrates Shield, which targeted IS and the Kurdish militia YPG and which ended in 2017.
According to media reports, the attack took place in the al-Bab area of northwestern Syria.
Turkey still has an extensive military presence in the area.
