The Frenchman Richard Gasquet, seeded No.4, qualified on Saturday for the final of the ATP tournament in Umag (Croatia) by triumphing over the German Daniel Altmaier, resulting from the qualifications.

Gasquet, 59th player in the world, had to work hard to win the first set 7-6 (7/2) before losing the second 3-6 and winning the third 6-3 at the expense of Altmaier, ranked 152nd in the world, in this clay court tournament.

He will face Sunday in the final, the winner of the match between Saturday night the Spaniards Albert Ramos-Vinolas, seeded No.1 and 43rd player in the world and Carlos Alcaraz, seeded No.7 and 73rd player in the world.

The last victory of Gasquet, 35, in an ATP tournament dates back to 2018 when he won on the grass of s'Hertogenbosch (Netherlands).
