Despite a tough year with an ongoing pandemic, unemployment has fallen in the past year.

In comparison with June last year, the figure has fallen by 1.3 percentage points, which means that the county is now at a total unemployment rate of 6.4 percent.

- Now we are starting to get back to the level we were at before the pandemic again, it feels great, says Johan Weidenmark, section manager Arbetsförmedlingen Jönköpings län.

The same trend seems to be reflected in most of Sweden's municipalities.

In as many as 282 of 290 of Sweden's municipalities, unemployment has fallen compared with the previous year.

The country as a whole today has a figure of 7.9 percent in unemployment, which is a decrease of 1.1 percentage points.

The highest unemployment rate is in Malmö, which is 14.5 per cent, while the unemployment rate is the lowest in Gällivare at 3.2 per cent.

In the clip above, you have the section manager Johan Weidenmark tell you about how he looks at the numbers.
