China News Service, July 23. According to the US "World Journal" report, many merchants and owners in the Chinatown of San Francisco have received letters from lawyers and are involved in the "Americans with Disabilities Act" (ADA) litigation.

San Francisco District Attorney Bochers made a special move to deal with fraud and fraud that may occur among them.

On July 21, Bochers met with the media in Chinatown.

He pointed out that he has received relevant allegations and that some lawsuits may involve fraud. Therefore, the District Attorney's Office has already taken actions, including setting up telephone lines and mailboxes, and will invest resources in investigating related incidents.

Bochers pointed out that if some lawyer's letters contain false statements, or do not mention ADA violations, but just ask for compensation, then these may involve fraud or fraud.

Bochers also emphasized that he supports the rights of people with disabilities and hopes that Chinatown's business can meet the regulations so that everyone can enter into consumption.

But now is the time when the epidemic has just begun to improve. He believes that some fraud-related behaviors may overwhelm many small businesses and close their doors.

However, ADA is a federal law, and Bochers is only a local official, and ADA lawsuits have always been in California and have not been resolved.

In response, Bochers responded that this issue is not new, and he will work with higher-level officials to find a solution.

The hotline set up by the District Attorney General's office for fraud and fraud is 628-652-4311, and the email address is sfda.fraudtipline@sfgov.org.

Bochers specifically stated that there are already two investigators who will be responsible for this matter, one of which is He Xishun, who can speak Chinese.

In addition, the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce will set up a fund to help businesses in Chinatown deal with these litigation issues.

The total amount of the fund is 25,000 US dollars.
