The reporter learned on the 23rd that during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, the Shanghai Children’s Immunization Program will maintain the coverage of hepatitis A and hepatitis B vaccination at 99 %, the free hepatitis B vaccination service has covered the entire population; the reported incidence of acute hepatitis has dropped to the lowest level in history, and the incidence and mortality of liver cancer have shown a downward trend.

  The Shanghai Centers for Disease Control and Prevention revealed that on the same day, since 2016, Shanghai has provided free adult hepatitis B vaccination services to 3000 high-risk groups of hepatitis B infection each year, and so far, more than 45,000 doses have been vaccinated.

At present, the first-line drugs for hepatitis B treatment have been included in Shanghai's mass procurement and the national essential drug list. The price of drugs has dropped significantly, and the burden of patients' treatment costs will be further reduced.

  It is reported that in 2011, Shanghai was the first in China to explore the contract management of chronic hepatitis patients in the community.
