The political scientist called the decision of the Justice Ministry justified.

According to Karnaukhov, Western special services use such publications to carry out "information attacks" on Russia, so the inclusion of this media in the list of foreign agents on Russian territory is absolutely justified.

"The ultimate goal of the Western intelligence services behind The Insider SIA, in addition to information attacks on Russia, is infiltration into various structures of information sources, that is, in the language of operatives, recruitment and formation of residency," the political scientist added.  

The Ministry of Justice entered The Insider SIA into the register of foreign media performing the functions of a foreign agent on 23 July.

In addition, the list includes the deputy editor-in-chief of the Project ** Mikhail Rubin and the journalists of the Project and Open Media - Sophia Groisman, Ilya Rozhdestvensky, Yulia Apukhtina and Alexey Posternak.

Earlier, the Prosecutor General's Office announced its decision to recognize the activities of the NGO Project Media as undesirable in the country, and the Ministry of Justice added the editor-in-chief of the publication Roman Badanin to the list of foreign media agents, as well as seven more journalists from Project, Open Media and Radio Liberty ***.
