The plant has spread more and more over several years and the municipality has made efforts to reduce the spread, but despite this, the increase continues.
Jesper Villaume believes that the large spread may be due to the public not having full control over how the plant should be handled.
- If you find the plant on municipal land, it must be reported to the municipality, they then decide whether they should be dug up or it is enough to pull up individual plants. If you have it at home, it is important not to lengthen it in the compost, but to put the whole plant in a garbage bag and throw it in combustibles, says Jesper Villaume.
