Only postponed by a year, then with and now without spectators, the 32nd Olympic Games will take place in and around Tokyo.

One often looked at the Japanese with something like envy, as they came relatively silently through the Corona crisis and the constantly emerging waves of infections.

Perhaps it is because of the cautiousness and caution of the country that the situation has escalated less than elsewhere.

While the pan-European football championship allowed spectators to enter the stadiums, people in Japan remained skeptical.

Probably not without reason, as the approaching next wave with the delta variant shows.
