Some believe that being under stress brings us gray hair and causes premature white hair to appear.

But have you ever imagined that there is a possibility to return the original color of hair naturally in some cases, how can this be achieved?

Many are forced to resort to dyeing white hair that appears to them suddenly without warning.

But what scientists have recently discovered gives hope to many, as it seems that what some have to do is be patient a little until the gray hairs recede and the hair returns to its natural color.

The study was conducted by a team at Columbia University, and they found a relationship between graying of the head and the stress and psychological pressure a person is exposed to, according to a report on the Deutsche Welle website.

The study was also covered by a report on the scientific American website.

After the research team was able to identify 323 proteins responsible for determining hair color, as well as tracking the psychological state of the volunteers in the study, the researchers concluded that reducing stress leads to hair returning to its first color.

Using a high-resolution light scanner, the researchers found that gray hair returned to its original color with lower levels of stress.

Psychological state

Scientists had previously found a relationship between gray hair and psychological state, but this is the first time that researchers have found evidence that white or gray hair can restore its previous color in a specific number of people.

Prior to that study, cases were reported but these were considered isolated case studies that rarely occurred, according to the Scientific American report.

"These findings suggest that there is a window of opportunity during which graying is likely to be more reversible than has long been thought," said study co-author Ralph Baus, a dermatologist at the University of Miami.

The researcher supervising the study, Ayelet Rosenberg, believes that their results are not surprising, as she put it, but the surprise was “the effect of the leave on the reverse process. That directly."

But it still needs more study to find out the mechanism by which the white or gray color is withdrawn from the hair. It is also not clear yet whether the reverse process, the return of the original hair color, occurs only to younger people or whether it is inclusive and is limited by other factors.
