Mayor of the capital Sergei Sobyanin announced this on the air of the Russia 1 TV channel.

“In general, we see that there is a decrease in the incidence rate, this is positive, it means that we have passed these peaks, and I hope that there will be further improvement,” Sobyanin said.

He added that for the fifth week in the city, there has been a decrease in the incidence rate, there are fewer and fewer newly diagnosed patients, while the number of hospitalizations is not decreasing at such a rate.

At the same time, the mayor stressed that “there is no need to calm down.

“Unfortunately, this infection has not gone anywhere.

Therefore, you need to protect yourself, take care of yourself, get vaccinated in a timely manner, ”the Moscow Mayor explained.

According to him, about 90 thousand people are vaccinated per day with the first and second components of the vaccines - "this is a large volume."

According to the data of the operational headquarters in the capital, 3425 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Moscow over the past day.

In total, 1,481,296 cases have been reported in the city since the start of the pandemic.

Over the past 24 hours, 7,010 people were discharged, and over the entire period the number of recovered people reached 1,319,555. From complications that developed against the background of COVID-19 and concomitant diseases, 107 patients died in the last 24 hours, and the total number of deaths reached 24,898.

“During the day, 1,136 people were hospitalized, 107 patients died.

There are 585 people on the ventilator, ”the message says.

In addition, the governor of the Moscow region, Andrei Vorobyov, said that in the region, daily registration for vaccination is about 75-80 thousand people.

Mishustin also stressed that vaccination remains the most effective way to protect yourself from coronavirus.
