Al-Jazeera correspondent in Syria said that 7 civilians were killed in the bombing of the Syrian regime forces on the town of Iblin in the Jabal Al-Zawiya area in Idlib countryside, northwest of the country.

For its part, the official Syrian News Agency said that 3 people were killed in an American bombardment with warplanes on a house in the village of Khirbet Jamous, in the eastern countryside of Hasaka.

The Syrian General Authority for Radio and Television published a video clip, which it said was for the moment the area was targeted.

Over the past days, areas in Idlib countryside have been subjected to bombing by the regime forces, which caused a number of civilian deaths. Al-Jazeera correspondent reported the killing of 7 civilians from one family, all women and children, as a result of missile strikes by the Syrian regime forces that targeted a house in Ihsem town in Idlib last Sunday.

A day earlier, 6 civilians were killed and 6 others wounded, including members of the Civil Defense (White Helmets), in shelling by the regime forces on residential areas in the village of Sarjah in Idlib countryside.

It is noteworthy that the Idlib governorate and its environs are witnessing a continuous military escalation by the regime forces, despite the ceasefire agreement agreed upon between Russia and Turkey in the area in northwestern Syria, which was signed on March 5, 2020.

In May 2017, Turkey, Russia and Iran announced that they had reached an agreement to establish a de-escalation zone in Idlib, as part of the Astana meetings related to the Syrian issue.
