A man was seriously injured in a house robbery in the North Holland village of Noord-Scharwoude on Thursday morning.
A second victim was found gagged, but appeared not to have been injured.
The police were called around 4.30 am because of a shooting incident in the Oranjestraat in the village.
The seriously injured victim was found in the house.
The victim, a 51-year-old man, lives in the building.
The second victim, a 37-year-old resident of the village, was found in an occupied barn on the property's property.
Several suspects were involved in the robbery. Police say they probably drove off in a white passenger car. She is conducting an on-site investigation, which includes the deployment of a helicopter.
