The man, who is a Chilean citizen, is said to have been with a woman in Södertälje with whom he has a relationship, according to the chief prosecutor.
He has also previously been in Sweden.
- Now we will make an investigation and see if there are any obstacles to him being extradited to Germany, says Krister Petersson, at the national unit against international and organized crime.
At present, the chief prosecutor cannot comment on the extent of the thefts.
