In his address, the public figure drew attention to an accident that occurred on July 16 in Moscow and claimed the lives of two young children.

As noted by the media, the culprit of the incident at the time of the collision with pedestrians could use the phone.

Currently, the fine for using the phone while driving is 1.5 thousand rubles, which, according to Kurdesov, is an insignificant punishment, given the fact that the driver by such actions creates a real threat to the health and life of others.

For example, for parking in a parking space for disabled people, which is an offense that does not pose such a direct threat to the life and health of other people, a fine of 5 thousand rubles is provided.

“In this regard, I ask you to assess the feasibility of amending the Code of Administrative Offenses of Russia in terms of increasing the fine for drivers for using the phone while driving to 10 thousand rubles,” the text of the appeal says.

Earlier it became known that the Tverskoy District Court had taken into custody until September 16 a girl who shot down three children on Aviator Street in Moscow, two of whom later died.
