This former DGSI agent tried since mid-June for selling confidential information on the darknet was sentenced Thursday to seven years in prison, two of which were suspended by the Nanterre criminal court.

This 35-year-old former police brigadier, who was being prosecuted for a dozen counts.

During his trial, he admitted the majority of the facts with which he is accused, in particular of having sold information taken from protected police files, but declaring to have acted only for profit.

The prosecution had requested seven years in prison against him.
