He continued, "As I promised you in advance on the ninth of July, 2021, Ethiopia filled its dam during the rainy season with caution and in a way that is beneficial to the lack of flooding from the immediate downstream country."

Abi Ahmed concluded his message by saying: “I would like to assure you once again that this filling will not do any harm to any of our countries.

For his part, a member of the Ethiopian negotiating team in the Renaissance Dam, Yelma Selechel, said yesterday, Wednesday, that the second filling of the Renaissance Dam "removed all the ambiguities raised by Egypt and Sudan regarding the impact of the dam on the downstream countries," according to the "Russia Today" website.

Selichel added, "The completion of the second phase of filling the dam is a great chapter to achieve the final goals of the project," noting that "the second round of filling the dam is a great achievement, and it has a role in removing the ambiguities raised by some international actors and downstream countries that Ethiopia cannot fill the dam." successfully.”

While the Egyptian media reported the failure of the second filling of the Renaissance Dam according to Ethiopian plans, while the Sudanese authorities announced the rejection of Ethiopia's unilateral measures and the policy of imposing a fait accompli.
