Chinanews.com, Beijing, July 22. On the 21st, a seminar to commemorate the 120th anniversary of Qin Bowei’s birth and the inheritance of academic thoughts hosted by Beijing University of Chinese Medicine was held in Beijing. The opening ceremony of Qin Bowei Memorial Hall was held on the same day.
The seminar was hosted by Dongzhimen Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and Qin Bowei Famous Research Office, and co-organized by Beijing Qihuang Traditional Chinese Medicine Cultural Development Foundation and People's Medical Publishing House.
Qin Bowei is a famous Chinese medicine scientist in my country. He has contributed his life's energy to the revitalization and development of Chinese medicine. His academic thoughts and research results have promoted the start and development of Chinese medicine education.
Yu Wenming, director of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, said that currently, Chinese medicine is in a period of inheritance, innovation and development of the right time, place and people.
Today, with the vigorous development of Chinese medicine, we must follow the example of the older generation of Chinese medicine experts and learn from their moral and artistic spirit, the spirit of scholarship, the spirit of educating people and the spirit of serving patients.
Tu Zhitao, director of the Beijing Municipal Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, said that it is necessary to explore the law of how Mr. Qin Bowei became a famous teacher, famous doctor, and famous master, and to open up a new phase in the inheritance of famous doctors in the new era, from individual inheritance to group inheritance, from cultural self-confidence to cultural consciousness Change to ensure that the inheritance work has facilities guarantee, concept formation, and landmark results, so as to better serve the cultivation of talents.
At the opening ceremony of Qin Bowei Memorial Hall, Gu Xiaohong, Party Secretary of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine stated that the completion of the memorial hall is of representative significance for the inheritance of Mr. Qin Bowei’s academic thought and spiritual character, and for the reform and development of higher education in Chinese medicine.
The construction of the Qin Boyi Memorial Hall aims to build a display platform to promote and learn the lofty character of the old Qin, and a research platform to inherit and innovate the academic thoughts of the old Qin.
Xu Anlong, president of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, said that everyone must learn from Mr. Qin Bowei’s spirit of being a pioneer in the world. First, he must further establish national self-confidence, daring to pioneer and innovate; second, he must learn from Mr. Qin Bowei’s ability to guide his younger generations, cultivate talents, and teach others. Noble character, keep in mind the mission of educating people for the party and the country; third, we must learn from his perseverance, noble personality, benevolent medical character of doctors, and perseverance and pursuit of the cause of Chinese medicine.
