Zelenskiy counts on meaningful conversation with Biden about Donbass

We will continue to discuss important issues of strategic partnership between Ukraine and the United States - peace in Donbass, the return of Crimea, the security of Ukraine, energy as a challenge to security, economic development and support for reforms, ”Zelensky wrote on Twitter.

As the White House said earlier, the American side expects the President of Ukraine to visit the United States on August 30.

In June, it was reported that Volodymyr Zelenskiy planned to ask the American leader for an increase in military aid and defense supplies.

Also, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry noted that one of the key topics of the talks will be the format of Washington's participation in resolving the situation in Donbass.

At the same time, State Department adviser Derek Scholle expressed the opinion that US participation in the Normandy format will not help solve the problem.
