The impact of typhoon "fireworks" on my country's waters has increased, and the wave warning level has been upgraded to orange

The center of this year's No. 6 typhoon "Fireworks" is today (21st) at 5 o'clock on the Northwest Pacific Ocean about 640 kilometers east of Yilan County, Taiwan Province.

According to the Central Meteorological Observatory's forecast, the "fireworks" will move westward and gradually increase in intensity. They will move back and forth into the southeastern part of the East China Sea on the evening of the 23rd, and then turn to the northwest. They will land on the coast of Zhejiang and Fujian on the 25th.

The National Ocean Forecasting Station upgraded the wave warning level of "fireworks" to orange this morning.

Affected by the typhoon "fireworks", it is expected that from noon on July 21 to noon on July 22, there will be 6 to 9 meters of swell waves in the southeast of the East China Sea to the swell zone, and the southwest of the East China Sea, the waters near the Diaoyu Islands, and the east of Taiwan 4 In the 6-meter large wave to savage wave area, the wave warning level in the coastal waters is orange; in the coastal waters of Zhejiang and northern Fujian, there will be medium to large waves of 2 to 3.5 meters, and the wave warning level in the coastal waters is yellow.

Remind the ships operating in the above sea areas to pay attention to safety, and all relevant units along the coast should take measures to prevent waves and avoid waves in advance.

At the same time, the center of this year’s No. 7 typhoon "Chapaka" made landfall on the coast of Jiangcheng District, Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province at around 9:50 pm yesterday (20th). This morning, "Chapaka" landed in Yangjiang, Guangdong Province. The city has weakened to tropical storm level.

In response to the "Chapaca", the National Ocean Forecast Service today lowered the wave warning level to blue.

Affected by the "Chapaca", it is expected that from noon on July 21 to noon on July 22, a medium wave of 2 to 3.5 meters will appear in the northwest of the South China Sea to the Dalang area, and a medium wave of 1.5 to 2.5 meters will appear in the coastal waters of western Guangdong. When there is a big wave, the wave warning level in the coastal waters is blue.

In terms of storm surge, due to the impact of Typhoon Chapaka (typhoon-level), from the night of July 19 to the morning of July 21, a 30 to 100 cm increase in storm water occurred along the coast from Zhuhai, Guangdong to Maoming.

The tide station in the above-mentioned shore section did not appear to reach the high tide level of the local blue alert tide level.

As the impact of "Chapaca" on the above-mentioned coastal storm surge is gradually reduced, and the tide level is gradually returning to normal, the typhoon storm surge warning is lifted.

But at present, the Leizhou Peninsula and the coast of Guangxi are in the period of astronomical tides, reminding the low-lying coastal areas that they still need to be prepared for moisture.
