A 25-year

-

old girl

from Castellón faces several crimes against Road Safety for recording herself with her mobile phone while driving without her hands behind the wheel, dancing and under the influence of alcohol, causing an accident by hitting another vehicle in which four were driving occupants.

The events occurred at dawn from Saturday 17 to Sunday 18 July in the Gran Avenida de Benicàssim (Castellón), at the edge of the time established for the

curfew

in said municipality of the Valencian Community.

As seen in the

video

to which EL MUNDO has had access, the young woman and a friend are driving dancing and the driver is

recording

the scene

with her mobile

, looking at the camera and losing her sight of the road, causing an accident whose impact is recorded on the mobile, as well as his first reaction.

As EL MUNDO has learned, the two young women

fled

after hitting the vehicle in front with their car, in which there were four people, who were slightly injured and alerted the Local Police of Benicàssim.

The young driver now investigated, in addition, posted the video

on social networks

, where the agents were able to verify the circumstances of the accident.

The

Local Police of Benicàssim

also followed the trace of oil that the young women's vehicle was leaving after the accident and reached the municipality of Castellón, requesting collaboration from the Local Police of the capital of La Plana.

Thus, the 25-year-old girl and her vehicle were located two hours after the events in a house on

Camí la Plana in Castellón

.

The Local Police Certificates carried out the breathalyzer tests resulting in a rate of 0.83, a level that exceeds three times what is allowed at the wheel (0.25).

The girl is charged with a

crime

of leaving the scene of the accident and driving under the influence of alcohol.

In addition, both face a

fine

for violating the curfew decreed by the Generalitat Valenciana for the municipality of Benicàssim.

The report

will be sent to the judge

next week.

Several of the slightly injured were treated for a cervical sprain at a hospital.
