The aircraft was designed by the Sukhoi Design Bureau of Russia, with a maximum speed of about Mach 2 and a weight of about 18 tons. It is scheduled to fly for the first time in 2023.

Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Manturov said that the aircraft's competitors are American F35 fighter jets and Swedish JAS39 Gripen fighter jets.

  At the exhibition that day, Russia's latest "Hunter" heavy-attack drone and a new generation of light military transport aircraft Il-112V were also displayed.

  Russian President Putin delivered a speech at the opening ceremony that day that Russia is willing to cooperate with all countries in the aerospace field.

He called on scientific researchers and experts from various countries to work together to achieve new breakthroughs in areas such as improving flight safety, reducing the impact of aircraft on the environment, and space research.

  During the airshow, several round-table meetings, matchmaking meetings and other forms of business activities will also be organized.

The Russian "Swift", "Warrior", Indian "Peacock" and other aerobatic teams will perform aerobatics with a variety of aircraft.

  The Moscow International Aerospace Exhibition is held every two years.
