According to the investigation, from June 2020 to April 2021, the suspect received bribes totaling 150 thousand rubles for improving the working conditions of two convicts, as well as filing a petition to the court for the convicted person's parole.

Earlier it became known that the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Vladimir Kolokoltsev, decided to dismiss Sergey Shchetkin, head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Stavropol Territory, from his post.

It was also reported that the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case in connection with the receipt of a bribe on an especially large scale by an organized criminal group headed by the head of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Stavropol, Alexei Safonov.
