  Varisu, Executive Director of the African World Heritage Fund, disclosed that there are still 12 countries in Africa with 0 World Heritage Sites, and 22 of the 53 endangered World Heritage sites in the world are located in Africa.

He called for increasing funding for the African World Heritage Fund to enhance the protection of African World Heritage.

  It is understood that this conference strives to promote "Africa Priority" in policy formulation, capacity building, international assistance and upstream procedures, so as to enhance the representation of world heritage and improve balance.

  During the deliberating stage of the agenda of the conference, the member states highly affirmed the effectiveness and progress of the Salonga National Park in eliminating the threat of war and illegal hunting, and unanimously agreed to remove the project from the "World Heritage in Danger List".

  It is reported that Salonga National Park is located in the center of the Congo River Basin. There are many local endangered species, such as bonobos, Congo peacocks, rainforest elephants, etc., which were included in the "World Heritage List" in 1984 and included in 1999. "List of Endangered World Heritage Sites."

  Tian Xuejun, Vice Minister of China’s Ministry of Education, Director of China’s National Committee for UNESCO, and Chairman of the 44th World Heritage Conference, emphasized during the World Heritage Conference that the implementation of UNESCO’s “Africa Priority” global issues demonstrates that African countries are in the cause of world heritage protection. The status and role of the company require greater efforts and more strength.

China will further support African countries’ world heritage protection work, support talent training in developing countries, and implement a talent training program in the field of world heritage protection.
