President Moon Jae-in expressed regret that his visit to Japan during the Tokyo Olympics was canceled and ordered that the working-level discussions between Korea and Japan continue in the future.

Park Soo-hyun, senior presidential secretary for public communication at the Blue House, appeared on KBS Radio and TBS Radio on the morning of the 20th and said this.

In this negotiation, South Korea and Japan discussed issues such as past history, export restrictions, and contaminated water from the Fukushima nuclear power plant, Park said.

"We decided to discuss the pending issues further," he said. "President Moon also ordered more working-level discussions yesterday."

In particular, Chief Park said that President Moon made the final decision not to go to Japan yesterday and said, "It's unfortunate, the situation has come to this, but I hope that the two leaders will meet anytime. He said there was still a chance.

Meanwhile, Chief Park said about the fourth wave of Corona 19, "The spread is showing in all countries of the world," but he said, "I'm really sorry that K-control was achieved at the expense of the people.

In response to the criticism that the quarantine relief message was hastily released, he said, "I humbly accept criticism," and "I will take responsibility for everything."

Regarding the opposition's raised demand for the sacking of the Blue House Quarantine Planning Officer, "It is something that the individual planning director cannot take responsibility for.”
