The preacher, Dr. Omar Al-Duraei, Executive Director of Islamic Affairs at the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments, addressed in his sermon, which came under the title (Our Eid is Obedience and Emulation), the virtues of Eid.. He said that Eid al-Adha is the greatest and most important day with God Almighty. He loves him and pleases him, so we perform the ritual of Eid prayer and sacrifices that God Almighty legislated, following the example of the father of the prophets Ibrahim, peace be upon him, and made it a Sunnah until the Day of Judgment.

He referred to the story of the Prophet Ismail with his father Ibrahim Al-Khalil, peace be upon them, which embodies the meanings of obedience and response, and represents a model for the righteous sons with their parents, who honor and respect them and respond to their command and choose the kindest and most torturous words for them in accordance with the Almighty’s saying:

Likewise, they appreciate the people of merit, the elderly and those in high rank, so they lower their status to them, and they know their worth for them. The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “He is not one of us who does not honor our elders.”

Al-Khatib added, "This day is a day of connection, charity, giving and honor, in which we reach our kinship, improve our neighbors, expand our families, bring joy to our homes, and spread joy in our society. We are committed to precautionary measures and preventive measures, so that we can all enjoy health and wellness."

And he prayed to God Almighty to perpetuate the goodness and happiness of the UAE and to grant success to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him” and his faithful Crown Prince and his brothers, the rulers of the Emirates, to what he loves and is pleased with. Those who passed on to his mercy and the martyrs of the homeland, and that their reward be abundant.. and the epidemic is lifted from the worlds, and those infected with this disease and from every disease are healed.

After the Eid prayer, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan exchanged congratulations with the worshipers on this honorable occasion.. Then His Highness and the sheikhs visited the tomb of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and recited Al-Fatihah on his soul, "may God rest his soul," praying to the Almighty God to bless him abundantly. His mercy and to honor him with a great reward for the good and great deeds he offered to his people and nation.
