Debate on gang crime: "It's a lot about municipal efforts"

Minister of Justice Morgan Johansson (S) believes, just like Johan Forssell (M), that it is possible to reverse the negative trend.

- We must have a policy to break new recruitment.

It is very much about municipal initiatives such as social services, schools, leisure activities that make it possible to take care of the young people who are on their way into crime.

The Moderates' legal policy spokesman Johan Forssell (M) rather thinks that the focus should be on arresting the perpetrators.

- There is nothing that is so crime-preventing right now as ensuring that the gang criminals are prosecuted and sentenced to significantly longer prison sentences.
