During the autumn of 2020, the police became aware that there were extensive sales of sexual services at a massage parlor on Nobelvägen in Malmö.

The police then began to search the salon and map the owner through secret data reading and telephone tapping.

Several phone calls were intercepted where the man and women, who worked at the salon, openly talked about sexual services being sold.

The police also seized garbage bags from the salon, the contents of which strengthened the suspicions.

The man was then arrested and during a crime scene investigation, even more findings were made.

Denied crimes

In June this year, charges were brought against the salon's owners and against two women who worked at the salon.

Three men were also charged with buying sexual services.

The main defendant denied the crime.

The district court finds it proven that the salon's owner both knew about the sale of sexual services and was the one who ran the business.

During the two years that the man owned the salon, the total turnover amounted to approximately SEK 3.4 million, of which SEK 2.4 million consisted of income from the sale of sexual services.

Lack of accounting

The accounting for one of the financial years has serious shortcomings and for the rest of the time there is no accounting, which means that the man is also convicted of a serious accounting offense.

According to the district court, the man also threatened one of the women who worked at the salon when she wanted to end her employment.

He is also said to have acquired drugs which he later handed over to one of the women who worked at the salon.

Imprisonment and fines

The man, who is in his 40s, is sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison.

He will also be banned from doing business for five years and will pay damages to the woman he exposed to illegal threats.

In addition, he must pay SEK 1,200,000 to the state for the financial exchange he had for the crime.

One of the accused women is sentenced to one month in prison for drug offenses.

The other defendants are fined.
