New York police are applauded for their surprising response to a stabbed citizen.

According to foreign media such as CNN on the 19th local time, police officer Ronald Kennedy was dispatched to the scene after receiving a report of a knife riot in Harlem, New York on the 7th.

At the scene, a man in his 20s was left unattended with a knife in the chest.

He was bleeding so much that his shirt was all stained with blood.

Upon seeing this scene as soon as he got out of the police car, Kennedy immediately said to a citizen standing next to him, "Give me a bag of potato chips right now."

It was an embarrassing request, but the citizen quickly bought potato chips from a nearby kiosk.

Kennedy opened the bag of potato chips and threw all the sweets inside.

Then I asked the citizen who brought the potato chips to "bring me the tape" again.

With help from passersby while the citizen left to collect the tapes, Mr. Kennedy laid the victim on the floor, unfolded a plastic bag of potato chips and covered it over the victim's wounds.

I then used tape to secure the bag to my body so it wouldn't fall off.

It was a first aid measure to prevent outside air from entering the chest cavity through the stab wound.

Kennedy knew that when the chest cavity was filled with air abnormally, the lungs would shrink and it would be difficult to breathe.

Emergency medical personnel who arrived at the scene soon after, removed the bag of potato chips covering the wound, attached gauze, and transported the victim to the hospital.

The victim, who was in critical condition, is said to be recovering and recovering at the hospital.

The treating physician assessed Kennedy's initial response as saving the victim's life.

"I did the best I could under the circumstances," Kennedy said.

Police said the 38-year-old Eric Rodriguez, who escaped after stabbing the victim, was arrested on the 11th and charged with attempted murder and illegal possession of a weapon.
