  Chen Yijia told reporters that, studying in the mainland, she intends to work and start a business in the mainland in the future.

In particular, Anhui has established cross-strait youth entrepreneurship bases, Taiwan Industrial Parks and other Taiwan-related parks, which provide many preferential benefits for Taiwan’s young students to find employment and entrepreneurship in Anhui, which is also a major benefit to Taiwan’s youth.

  Terry Chen from Taiwan is just 18 years old this year. He followed his parents to live in Kunshan on the mainland 10 years ago. He was still in high school this year and he took the initiative to sign up after learning about the activities of the Hui Culture Summer Camp.

  According to Zhang Gengjia, deputy director of the Department of Education of Anhui Province, the Summer Camp for Taiwan Youth Students’ Huizhou Culture is an exchange platform for Anhui-Taiwan youths with Huizhou culture as the mainstay.

Up to now, the summer camp has been successfully held for 16 sessions. Nearly 1,000 teachers and students from more than 50 universities in Anhui have participated, and it has become a branded event for exchanges between Anhui and Taiwan.

During this event, young students from Taiwan will carry out case studies on topics such as Huizhou culture, Huizhou architecture, and protection of ancient houses.

  According to Liu Quan, director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of Anhui Province, in recent years, Anhui has issued the “55 Benefits of Taiwan” policy based on actual conditions to provide equal treatment for Taiwan compatriots in investment, entrepreneurship, employment, study, and life in Anhui.   Liu Quan said that in recent years, the economic and trade cooperation between Anhui and Taiwan has achieved outstanding results. For three consecutive years, it has been in the forefront of the country in attracting and using Taiwanese capital.

From January to May this year, Anhui’s newly approved Taiwan-funded projects reached 37, a year-on-year increase of 37%; the actual use of Taiwanese capital was US$420 million, a year-on-year increase of 24.8%.
