According to the Swedish Lifesaving Society, June, both 2020 and 2021, are sad record months in the 2000s in terms of drowning statistics.
In June this year, there were 23 dead in the country.
Two of the drownings took place in Värmland and two in Örebro County.
And in early July, an 8-year-old boy drowned in Degerfors.
