Skånemejerier withdraws the products Président Ljuva ostcréme stark and Ljuva ostcréme lactose-free in packages of 3.2 kg. The reason is that the supplier of fruit kernel flour, which is an ingredient in the product, has been informed that it contains the plant protection product ethylene oxide.
Ethylene oxide is banned in food in the EU.
The current products have the best before dates between 30 July and 31 October (Ljuva ostcréme strong) and 23 September and 31 October (Ljuva ostcréme lactose-free).
In a press release, Skånemejerier urges customers who bought the products to return them to Kristianstads mejeri.
