Halmstad municipality has received complaints from the areas of Vallås, Snöstorp, Furet and Frennarp, something that Hallandsposten was the first to report on.
Johan Erling, representative of Vallås Villaförening in the fly issue, has three traps in the garden that catch thousands of flies every week.
He and several other residents of Vallås believe that the nearby CHP plant is the source of all flies.
Projects should go to the bottom of the problem
Halmstad Energi och miljø AB, HEM, owns the facility.
The company has ordered two investigations to find the source, but none of the investigations find that the facility would contribute to an unusual number of flies.
Now the building and environmental administration in Halmstad municipality and the county administrative board in Halland will together start a project this autumn where they will get to the bottom of the problem.
