Torrential rain gives no respite to Austria, since yesterday hit by bad weather.
According to local media, the flood risk alert has been triggered in several areas along the Danube.
The most affected cities are Salzburg and Tyrol, but also Vienna and its region where about 3,000 firefighters have been mobilized.
"I thank the rescuers and volunteers who are doing everything possible to help! We will not leave the affected people alone and we will support the reconstruction," Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz wrote on Twitter.
