A report prepared by the American-British Center for Countering Digital Hate found that the vast majority of misinformation about the Corona virus and anti-vaccine conspiracy theories against the epidemic came from only 12 people.

And the British newspaper "The Guardian", which reported the news, reported that the report of the Center - which is a joint British-American non-governmental organization founded in March of this year - stated that the 12 personalities who are active on the Internet were able to gather a number of followers through many Social media platforms exceed 59 million people.

The newspaper said that the center, which the White House cited some of the information contained in its report this week, analyzed 812,000 posts and tweets on the Facebook platform, and found that 65% of this misinformation came from the aforementioned group, which the center's report called the "Dozen Disinformation" media.

In his speeches this week, US President Joe Biden focused on false information about vaccines, considering it one of the main reasons for the outbreak of the virus in the United States.

According to the report, the group's greatest influence is on Facebook, where it was found that its members are responsible for 73% of all anti-vaccine content, despite the fact that the US government and the competent authorities consider these vaccines safe and effective against Corona.

Among the 12 personalities responsible for misleading content on the Internet about Corona vaccines, according to the Guardian report, are doctors, a bodybuilder, a health blogger, and a religious fanatic, and the most prominent of them is Robert Kennedy Jr., the nephew of the late US President John F. Kennedy, who sees That there is a relationship between corona vaccines and autism, as he sees that there is a relationship between the fifth generation of the Internet and the outbreak of the Corona pandemic.

Facebook removed Kennedy's account from its Instagram platform, but not his Facebook account itself, according to the Guardian.

The Guardian reported that some social media platforms have taken measures to delete many misleading posts, and one of the platforms has deleted the accounts of 3 of the 12 personalities.

The Center for Combating Digital Hate has called on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube to cancel the accounts of those figures responsible for spreading misinformation that the center deems dangerous and plays a pivotal role in people's reluctance to take Corona vaccines during a crucial moment in the battle against this pandemic.
