Assad interrupts the audience's applause with a "joke" about the Americans, the Turks, and a third party

Yesterday, Saturday, the speech of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad witnessed a repeated interruption by those present in the People's Palace hall, where al-Assad was sworn in as president for a new 7-year presidential term, which is his fourth term.

The attendees interrupted the Syrian president repeatedly and recited words and short poems praising and supporting Assad. Part of his speech was when he said that “the issue of liberating what is left of our land remains in our sights... its liberation from the terrorists and their Turkish and American sponsors,” with warm applause from the audience, which prompted Assad to boycott them. With the question jokingly, "I mentioned the terrorists, the Americans and the Turks... for whom are the applause?"

During his speech, al-Assad called on those who "betrayed him and bet on the fall of Syria" to return to the bosom of the homeland," considering that one of the biggest obstacles now lies in the freezing of Syrian funds in Lebanese banks.
