• Politics Ciudadanos slams the merger with the PP, claims "liberal" and marks distances with "the conservative party"

Inés Arrimadas has solemnized the beginning of a new stage in Ciudadanos that bets on "liberalism" as the great ideological framework of the party and that is the central argument that sustains its usefulness and its survival as a political party against the attempted absorption of the PP. "We will never give up," proclaimed the orange leader in a clear message to Pablo Casado. "And you can't beat someone who never gives up."

The president of Ciudadanos has closed the political convention that the orange formation has held this weekend in Madrid with a speech with re-foundational overtones, lasting more than an hour and with a strong political dimension, but, in addition to nurturing concepts and ideology the opening of this new stage has also given many internal and external messages related to the crisis that threatens its continuity.

Arrimadas has stated that the future "is not written" and has demanded "to flee from the ashes and the pessimists" regarding what is going to happen with the orange party.

In this sense, the most powerful message has been sent to the PP to ensure that they will find a party convinced of its future and that it proclaims itself "necessary" and "essential".

"We are here with that conviction," he said, before notifying Casado, without naming him, that there will be no surrender of Citizens to their hostile bid.
