Warning of a “pandemic among the unvaccinated” in America after the increase in Corona injuries

The significant increase in new infections with the Corona virus in the United States is of great concern to the authorities in the country.

"This is going to become a pandemic for the unvaccinated," CDC chief Rochelle Walinsky warned Friday of these risks.

She added that the United States recorded, during the past few days, 26,000 new daily infections on average, which means an increase of nearly 70% compared to last week, noting that the number of people hospitalized due to Covid-19 will rise and the average number of deaths reported weekly will increase.

“We are seeing outbreaks in parts of the country with low vaccination rates,” Walinsky said, adding that areas where more people are fully vaccinated see a much better situation.

"Our biggest concern is that we will continue to see avoidable cases, hospitalizations, and deaths, unfortunately, among the unvaccinated," Walinsky said.

Walinsky again urged everyone to receive the vaccine, indicating that it would help against the particularly infectious Delta strain that has only recently prevailed in the United States.

The US government blames a number of factors, including misinformation on social media, regarding the reluctance of many to take the vaccine, and the government recently announced vaccinations against Corona with the American star Olivia Rodrigo.

The 18-year-old met President Joe Biden at the White House and stressed the importance of getting vaccinated against Corona.

According to the American Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 160 million people in the United States have been fully vaccinated against corona, which is equivalent to less than half of the total population.
