For President Biden, this is "

a disappointing decision

."

A Texas federal judge blocked the Daca program, calling it illegal.

The magistrate considers that Barack Obama violated the administrative procedure during the implementation of this program which protects minors who arrived illegally in the United States from deportation.

Judge Hanen nonetheless clarified that, for the moment, his decision would have no impact on the 650,000 people in the program, but that the new applications would be suspended.

The judge has been seized by a group of

that want to end the "Dreamers" program.

The Texas attorney general congratulated himself and claimed to have won an important victory over the Biden administration and illegal immigration.

President Biden immediately made it known that the Justice Department would appeal the ruling.

Above all, he called on Congress to pass a law that would finally allow “Dreamers” to gain American nationality.
