At the same time, Lazarev cited the position of the defense.

According to him, Bashkirova's lawyer called the incident an "accident."

"During the trial in the Nikulinsky court in Moscow, the defendant's lawyer did not assess her actions, only called the incident an accident," said a spokesman for the court.

The girl was charged under Part 3 of Art.

264 of the Criminal Code (violation of the rules of the road, resulting in the death of a person by negligence).

According to the traffic police, on Friday, July 16, at 12:58 pm near the house number 5 on Aviatorov Street, a Mazda 3 car hit boys at the age of nine months and five and three years at an unregulated pedestrian crossing.

The children moved accompanied by two adults.

As the ministry told reporters, the children took the brunt of the blow, the youngest of whom was in a stroller.

The video footage of the incident published by the traffic police shows that the girl, without slowing down, drove into a group of pedestrians at an unregulated crossing.

At the same time, the driver could not see people at the crossing, since the view of them was blocked by another car, which slowed down at the crossing to let pedestrians pass.

As a result of the collision, a five-year-old boy, who received a fracture of the base of the skull and fell into a coma, died in the hospital.

“The boy, who was taken by helicopter to a medical facility after an accident, died,” the traffic police said in a Telegram message.

Later, a three-year-old child died in the hospital after being seriously injured in an accident.

The nine-month-old was diagnosed with traumatic brain injury and concussion.

The police clarified that the girl who was driving the Mazda received a driver's license in 2020.

At the same time, there were no traffic violations for her, and the car itself did not belong to her.

Eyewitnesses said that the car "swept away" the pedestrians at the crossing.

“It seemed to me that a lady of about 20 years was driving.

She flew into the crosswalk and swept away the children.

Later they said that one of the children had died, but I don't know for sure.

But he was lying unconscious, the second baby was carried to the ambulance.

And the lady who had run over the children stood and sobbed, talking to someone on the phone.

On the fact of the incident, a criminal case was opened under Part 1 of Art.

The Investigative Committee in Moscow initiated the transfer of the case from the police to the UK.

The culprit of the accident became a participant in the conflict in a cafe, after which he got behind the wheel of a car and hit pedestrians.

As a result of Sarbishev's actions, one person died, nine more were injured, including a girl born in 2001, who was underage at the time of the accident.
