- We will focus on the big issues.

Among other things, we want to focus on the countryside but also build bridges between city and country.

This is what Tomas Ekberg, chairman of the association, tells SVT Nyheter Öst.

According to Ekberg, there is great interest in a sharper organization that sees hunting and game as important parts of the countryside.

The new organization will not oppose the existing organizations.

- With a small and agile organization, we want to be involved and influence in issues that are important to us hunters.

An important issue for the new organization is that the money that hunters in Sweden pay into the state treasury to be allowed to hunt should go back to the management of the wild.

Ekberg also believes that hunting is so important that it must be seen as an important societal resource, something that is not always the case today.

- Ultimately, our questions are about what wildlife we want.

Everything is connected.

If we want game in the forest tomorrow, we have to think about it today, Ekberg concludes.
